Light & Form: Ceramic Wall Sconce Workshop – Margaret River Ceramics Class | Margaret River
Sculptural Light for Your Home
Light & Form is a beginner-friendly ceramics class in Margaret River where you’ll create a handmade ceramic wall sconce—designed to hold a tea light, or interpreted as a wall vase for fresh or dried stems.
No pottery experience is required. You’ll be guided step by step through hand-building techniques, shaping three-dimensional forms, adding decorative details such as scalloped edges, and finishing your piece with underglaze colour and surface texture.
This class is ideal for anyone curious about sculptural ceramics and functional design. Working at your own pace in a relaxed, light-filled studio, you’ll be supported throughout the making process— perfect for first-time ceramicists and returning creatives alike.
Enjoy morning tea by WildFlora while you create a handmade piece that’s carefully finished and fired in our studio, ready to cast gentle light or hold a single stem in your home.
What You’ll Learn:
- Hand-building ceramic techniques for sculptural, three-dimensional forms (no wheel required)
- Creating scalloped edges and decorative surface details
- Underglaze painting and surface decoration techniques
